Having sprouted the start of a tooth we love to chew on cold things to soothe the gums. A piece of orange pepper might not be eaten but its great when the gums are sensitive.
This week we have also discovered tinned pear. This is sucked up so quickly that arms start flapping when a new piece doesn't arrive quickly enough.
another useful tip after a few screaming drives is always have with you a suitable healthy baby snack. We have been packing rice cakes in our nappy bag as we have been caught out a couple of times when my son has decided he doesn't want to be in car seat or he is overly tired ad a distraction like a little snack bite is very useful. Now I'm not condoning giving your child a packet of sweets or crisps each time is is in a bit of a bad mood, but the odd simple snack, to me, seems harmless.
O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, than out of sperm, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that we may manifest ( Our Power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strenght; and some of you are called to die and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after known (much). And (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (To life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth in pairs. ( Surah al- Hajj, ayat 5, Qur'an)
